KEPONG – Staff of DRB-HICOM EZ-Drive Sdn Bhd and FRIM have carried out tree planting activities at Kempen Penanaman 100 Juta Pokok , at Kepong in support of Avis Malaysia and EON Berhad.
Maria Arlene Jackan, FRIM’s Public Relations Officer delivered a welcome speech followed by the speech of Akkbar Danial, Chief Executive Officer of EON Berhad. Also present, Mohd Syahrul Yusuf, Chief Operations Officer of DRB-HICOM EZ-Drive.
Akkbar expresses its gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to environmental sustainability. He also expressed his appreciation to all the staff involved and hopes that the CSR activities will motivate other staff members to join environmental conservation programs and practice a green lifestyle at home.
FRIM Forest Management Branch Staff, Mohd Nizam Achin delivered a safety briefing and showed planting methods. As many as 40 trees consisting of cranes (Rubroshorea macrophylla), waiting for leaves (R. acuminata), waiting for kepong (R. ovalis), ravishing meranti (Hopea sulcata), red taban nyatoh (Palaquium gutta), bol guava (Syzygium malaccense) and belian (Eusideroxylon zwageri) successfully planted.
