Beyond the cars, music, and excitement at EON & Sahabat Autofest 2026, we made history with sustainability.

While thousands of visitors enjoyed an action-packed weekend filled with automotive showcases, family-friendly activities and great food, another meaningful journey was taking place behind the scenes. One focused not on what was being consumed, but on what was being left behind.

As part of EON’s Passion with Purpose commitment, we introduced the Compost on Wheel initiative – an onsite food waste composting programme designed to reduce landfill waste and promote a circular approach to resource management.

Throughout the three-day event, food vendors worked together by practising proper waste segregation, ensuring that food scraps were collected separately from general waste. These organic leftovers were then processed through the Compost on Wheel system, where they began their transformation into nutrient-rich compost.

The result was a significant milestone: nearly 100kg of food waste was diverted from landfill and transformed into valuable compost.

This initiative demonstrates that sustainability is not only about large-scale project, it is also about the small, thoughtful actions that collectively make a meaningful difference. By integrating sustainable waste management into one of our flagship events, EON proved that great experiences and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.

The Compost on Wheel initiative is part of EON’s broader Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) journey, reflecting our commitment to creating positive impact for our communities while reducing our environmental footprint.

At EON, every event is an opportunity to drive change to create a lasting legacy where waste became a valuable resource, and every small action helped pave the way towards a more sustainable future.
