DRB-HICOM University of Automotive Malaysia (DHU) marked a significant milestone with the celebration of its 10th Convocation Ceremony, held at the university’s Chancellery Hall in Pekan, Pahang. The ceremony honoured the achievements and academic excellence of 230 graduates across various levels of study, reflecting the institution’s continued commitment to nurturing industry-ready talent. 

The ceremony was presided over by Tan Sri Syed Faisal Albar, Chairman of the Board of Governors of DRB-HICOM University and Group Managing Director of DRB-HICOM Berhad. His presence underscored the strong support from the DRB-HICOM Group in advancing the university’s role as a key talent development hub.  

EON Berhad, a member of the DRB-HICOM Group, shares in this commitment through ongoing collaboration in talent development, industry exposure, and knowledge-sharing initiatives that bridge academic learning with real-world automotive and mobility industry practices.  

EON Berhad’s Chief Executive Officer, Akkbar Danial, serves as an Adjunct Professor at DRB-HICOM University.

The convocation also recognised outstanding academic achievements through several prestigious awards, including the Chancellor’s Award, Chairman’s Award, and two Vice-Chancellor’s Awards, alongside Book Prizes and Special Awards presented to eight graduates. 

Currently offering up to 26 fully accredited academic programmes, the university continues to support Malaysia’s efforts to develop highly skilled graduates aligned with industry needs.
