SHAH ALAM, 9 SEPTEMBER 2025 – Tras, Malaysia’s first digitally integrated automotive financial solutions platform was officially launched today, providing car buyers and car dealerships with an easy, quick and safe way to secure car financing.
The platform connects customers, car dealers, and banks into one digital ecosystem. This allows customers the flexibility of applying for financing from various partner banks, and obtaining and accepting offers quickly via a single platform.

The launch was officiated by Tan Sri Syed Faisal Albar, Group Managing Director of DRB-HICOM Berhad. Also present at the event were Akkbar Danial, CEO of EON which is a member of DRB-HICOM Group, together with partner banks and other business partners.
Financing Convenience for Customers
Through partnerships with three licensed Malaysian banks at its onset, customers can apply for financing to all three simultaneously at competitive rates.
Applications are submitted digitally via the platform with financing approvals available in as little as 30 minutes, subject to availability of all relevant documents. This not only ensures a high level of personal data security, but also significantly reduces application and approval times.
“Everything is done seamlessly via Tras. By integrating key aspects of the financing journey, including creating comparisons between financing packages, we provide customers with the information they need to make better informed financial decision on their car purchase,” Kazrin explained.
“Through our partnership with EON, we have also shown our value add to dealerships”, Kazrin added. “The Tras platform has seamlessly integrated with EON’s client relationship management platform, allowing for automatic creation of financing applications for every car buyer who consents and needs financing for their car purchase”.
Tras also comes with a “CarCulator” feature, an intuitive tool that suggests cars that best fit a customer’s financial profile. Besides calculating monthly repayment amounts, the CarCulator goes further to recommend vehicles that best fit the customer’s budget, giving an added layer of guidance to customers in making their best purchase decision.
Customers also have the option to participate in the platform’s Extended Warranty Programme, which provides coverage of up to two years beyond the manufacturer’s standard warranty. This additional protection mirrors the original coverage, safeguarding customers against unexpected repair costs and ensuring long-term confidence in their vehicle ownership.
“As an introductory offer, Tras is offering preferential rates as low as 1.79% for selected car purchases for financing applications through the platform. We are also offering an exclusive 10% discount on the Extended Warranty Programme for non-EV models of Proton, as well as Mitsubishi, Audi, and Volkswagen models, purchased through EON dealerships. This special promotion will run until 16 September 2025. For this campaign period, we guarantee customers a decision on their loan application within 24 hours after submitting their documents. If you don’t hear from us within that time, we will compensate with RM50 worth of TNG e-wallet,” Kazrin said.
